BCA will need to ensure to adhere to their compliance requirements and additionally provide you with the most efficient service. As a consequence of your wish to arrange for your own cross-border vehicle transport, some playing rules and requirements will apply for you as a buyer notwithstanding and therefore in addition to BCA’s Terms & Conditions:
• Your carrier needs to be approved by BCA the first time and needs to be an independent third party carrier who holds an International Transport License and is able to provide CMRs to document the journey. You can register as many thrid party independent carriers as you wish.
• To verify this, BCA needs to receive from you

A completed Carrier Notification Form.

The carrier’s official transport insurance policy covering the international CMR transports activity, valid at the date of the proposed pick up date, ensuring that the transport company being used is Insured for any damages to the vehicles while on BCA sites and your vehicle is insured during the transport and delivery.

• Once your carrier is authorised by BCA you will only need to let us know which carrier you will use for your pick-up, by email to eulogistics@bca.com. Verification and authorisation of a carrier will then only be needed again if you start using a different new carrier, or when the carriers’ insurance policy is expired.
• For every purchase BCA needs to be aware of the carrier you will use in advance of the delivery. If the carrier is known and authorised you will shortly receive your pick-up notification.
• Vehicle pick-up at the compound needs to take place within 14 calendar days of the auction you purchased the vehicle in (for international purchases from Italy or the Netherlands it is 14 days after receiving the release document) and with a 48 hour notice to eulogistics@bca.com. The regular pick-up fee of the selling country will apply.
• If your carrier company has not picked-up your purchase in time, on the 14th day BCA will still send you a transport invoice for automatic transport. Your vehicle will be transported to you after receipt of this transport payment by BCA. Failure to pay will lead to cancellation of the sale.
• To pick up your vehicle(s) at the compound the driver needs to show:

Pick-up confirmation and Power of attorney document

Passport/ID

Vehicle documents of the truck and trailer

CMR
• BCA will send the vehicle documents to you after having received

The completed Receipt of Delivery declaration showing the relevant data of delivery;

The insurance policy of the third party independent carrier, in case it has not been provided already;

CMR issued by the transport company, disclosing, amongst other information:

Buyer information (e.g., legal name, address, country) in box 1 as the Consignor / Sender;

Buyer information (e.g., legal name, address, country) in box 2 as the Consignee / Recipient;

Buyer’s approved delivery address (in accordance with BCA’s compliance standards above mentioned, which is located in the same country as the Buyer’s EU VAT registration) in box 3;

Place and date of departure in boxes 4 and 21;

Identification of the vehicles purchased and being transported (e.g., brand, model, VIN, plate) in box 6;

Buyer signature and stamp in box 22 as the Sender;

Signature and stamp of transport company in box 23 (and also disclosing legal name, address and country of transport company in box 16);

Date of reception, signature and stamp of the Buyer in box 24 as the Consignee.

In the event the delivery is complete in several legs, you need to provide to BCA all the CMR’s corresponding to the entire journey from BCA selling compound until the delivery address.

In the event the CMR is incorrectly fulfilled, namely in boxes 1 and 22 because it does not identify the Buyer as the Sender / Consignor, BCA might refuse it and, alternatively, request copy of the transport cost invoice issued by the carrier.
